Ladybug Cottage

Ladybug Cottage, named after our twenty seven year old Quarter Horse that I still ride, has French doors that lead to a spacious covered deck that overlooks one of the horse pastures.

The large crown moldings and Dutch baroque chandelier provide an old world charm. It is furnished throughout with antique furniture including part of our antique picture frame collection.

There is also satellite television. The floors are tile and covered with oriental area rugs.

Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and mahogany cabinets.

The bedroom is furnished with my grandmother's bedroom furniture and a Simmons queen size Beauty rest mattress for a restful night's sleep. The doggie traveler isn't forgotten either, there is a cushy doggie bed too! At the end of the day take a soothing bath in the whirlpool tub and enjoy the sunset from the romantic deck with a view of horses peacefully grazing. You can also see the main house across the pasture.

The atmosphere is so serene you feel as though you have left civilization behind, but are only minutes from downtown Landrum and Tryon. This area is in the middle of North and South Carolina's horse country. We have many different different kinds of horses on the farm. A Percheron French Draft Horse, Paint Horses, Quarter Horses and our 30+ year old Racking Horse.

Guest took this picture from the deck . There is a herd of about eight deer that frequent our pastures.
