Joker was my very first pony, a treasured gift for my seventh birthday that quietly changed the course of my life forever. In his gentle eyes and patient spirit, a lifelong love for horses was born. He was more than a childhood companion; he was the beginning of a journey that would grow into years of memories, family moments, and the heart of the farm we know today.
Every horse who came after carried a small piece of that beginning, the joy, the wonder, and the bond first discovered with Joker. Now, as the seasons have passed and only one beloved horse remains here on the farm, those early memories feel even more sacred. Joker represents the very first chapter, the moment a little girl’s dream took root and became a lifetime of love.
Though time moves forward, the feeling he created never fades. His spirit still lives in every memory, every pasture, and in the enduring legacy that continues to connect our past to the present.

Though the seasons have changed and time has moved on, their spirit remains alive in every pasture and memory. Barking Fox Farm combines a dog friendly farm experience with a proud horse legacy. Guests can stay in dog friendly cottages, vacation rentals, or cabins while enjoying equestrian activities.
Today, only Scout remains with us, carrying forward the love and history of all those who came before. From his first days as a tiny foal, captured at just three days old, to his growth at six months, Scout has been a living link to the past. Born right here on the farm to Glory Be, he is more than a horse, he is the continuation of a cherished legacy. As he approaches 24 years old in June 2026, Scout embodies the heart, spirit, and warmth of every horse who has called this farm home. His presence reminds us that though friends may leave, the bonds we share endure, welcoming all who visit to experience the farm’s timeless heart.
