Legacy of Our Beloved Horses

Our horses have shaped the heart of this farm for generations, their presence, personalities, and the countless quiet moments we shared with them are woven into every corner of the land. Though the seasons have changed and time has moved on, their spirit remains alive in every pasture and memory.

Today, only Scout remains with us, carrying forward the love and history of all those who came before. From his first days as a tiny foal, captured at just three days old, to his growth at six months, Scout has been a living link to the past. Born right here on the farm to Glory Be, he is more than a horse, he is the continuation of a cherished legacy. As he approaches 24 years old in June 2026, Scout embodies the heart, spirit, and warmth of every horse who has called this farm home. His presence reminds us that though friends may leave, the bonds we share endure, welcoming all who visit to experience the farm’s timeless heart.

Scout – Six Months Old

Scout, at six months old, sharing a special moment with one of my sons. Their bond was already forming, full of trust, curiosity, and the beginnings of many adventures together on our farm.

Lacy – Our Gentle Trail Companion

Lacy was more than a horse, she was my trail riding buddy for 18 wonderful years and a gentle soul loved by everyone who met her. Our grandson even rode her when he was little, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Sadly, we lost Lacy on September 7, 2023, at the age of 30, but her kind heart, sweet nature, and the joy she brought to our family will remain with us forever.

April (Vaquerous Ladybug) – Our Joyful Spirit

March 27, 1980 – December 10, 2012. April, known on her American Quarter Horse Association papers as Vaquerous Ladybug, was a beloved part of our family for almost 21 years. She brought endless joy into our lives, and in her later years, even our seven-year-old grandson enjoyed riding her. April will be greatly missed, but her spirit and the memories she gave us will remain in our hearts forever.
